Trade isn’t “dumping it” — swap ISOs belong here

Trade on ISO App means a deliberate swap — what you want and what you’ll offer — not “get this out of my garage.” Here’s how to post trade ISOs neighbors actually reply to.

In neighborhood groups, “trade” sometimes turns into a euphemism for dumping: beat-up furniture, mystery boxes, or “trade for anything” posts that are really about clearing clutter. That burns out the neighbors who actually barter fairly.

ISO App separates those stories. A trade ISO is still a wanted post — you lead with what you’re looking for, set budget to Trade, and describe what you’ll swap in the title and description. The feed treats it as a match, not a landfill run.

What a good trade ISO looks like

  • Title both sides: “Trade: my road bike (~54cm) for hybrid or gravel, similar size.”
  • Tag #trade (and specifics: #bike #furniture #cards).
  • Condition honesty — trade falls apart when the photo doesn’t match.
  • Public meetup for handoffs; use our neighborhood safety guide for higher-value swaps.

Browse the trade feed

Trade ISOs live on the dedicated trade browse feed and in the main neighbor feed with a Trade budget line. We’re still growing South Bay density first; greater Bay neighbors are welcome and can use travel radius on Browse.
