What is an ISO (In Search Of) post?

ISO (In Search Of), A short guide for neighbors new to demand-led wanted listings on ISO App.

In Search Of means you name what you need, then neighbors (and their networks) can help you find it.

ISO stands for “In Search Of.” Instead of scrolling endless supply listings, you state what you want: item, condition you’ll accept, budget, and optional hashtags (for example #bike, #kids). That clarity helps the right people notice your ask. If you’re hoping for a gift, trade, or Buy Nothing–style handoff, tags like #buynothing, #donation, or #gift sit in the same feed, neighbors who love to give can filter for them.

ISO App is built around that pattern, your post is the starting point. Find what you're looking for, on your terms. A demand-led marketplace for neighbors. Post what you're searching for (ISO), not selling.

When someone has a match, they can reach out in-app. You stay in control of status, active on the public feed, unlisted while you sort things out, pending when a deal is in progress, or found when you’re done.

When someone has a match, they can reach out in-app, your thread stays between you and them.
